Galleon CI, the new subscriptions marketing and fulfillment joint venture formed through the merger of Customer Interface and Galleon, has appointed Phil Wheeler as General Manager.
Phil will assume responsibility for operational management of the combined business, including the customer contact centre, logistics and warehouse operations, and IT systems. He has also been appointed to the company’s board.
Over the past 18 months Phil has been working with Galleon CI helping to manage the operational and technical integration of the two businesses.
Phil previously worked with Parkwell Management Consultants, where he specialised in managing complex systems integration projects for large financial, blue-chip industrial and public sector clients. Prior to that he spent seven years as a management consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and began his career as a software engineer. Over this period Phil has worked with a range of well known organisations, including Barclays, Zurich Insurance and Ford Motor Company.
Commenting on the appointment, Tom Turcan, Executive Chairman of Galleon CI, says “Phil has been an integral part of the team right from the start of the merger. It is great news that he is joining the permanent management team to take the business forward, and to help achieve our goal of building a better subscriptions management company.”
Phil adds “I am very excited about joining Galleon CI. Over the past 18 months I have come to appreciate the tremendous opportunity presented by the merger, and staying on in the business means I will be able to help deliver higher standards and a broader range of services to our clients.”
