Dovetail is the new brand for the subscription fulfilment business jointly owned by BBC Magazines and Dennis Publishing, created from the merger of Galleon and Customer Interface.
Dovetail means ‘to connect precisely’. The name was chosen to demonstrate the company’s focus on connecting publishers with their customers, helping to build enduring value from their subscriptions.
The logo is a modern representation of the dovetail joint - the strongest in carpentry - with its distinctive colour representing the human element at the core of Dovetail’s service.
The re-launch is led by a strengthened management team based in the company’s new headquarters in Sittingbourne, Kent. The centralised operations include a newly designed customer care centre, enhanced marketing and transactions databases, improved mailing and fulfilment operations and a secure, multi-channel technology platform.
Clients will continue to benefit from the strengths of Dovetail’s shareholders and their complete commitment to magazine subscriptions.
Tom Turcan, Executive Chairman, says "From the conception of the venture our shareholders have wanted to create a new approach to subscriptions marketing and fulfilment. Re-launching under the new brand is part of this process, and emphasises our focus on working in partnership with publishers to achieve great things for the future. The new logo stands out in the marketplace - it’s a strong symbol that is hard to ignore!"
The full name of the company is Dovetail Services (UK) Limited, and its web address is www.dovetailservices.com.
