Dovetail Services, the new subscriptions marketing and fulfilment company created from the merger of Galleon and Customer Interface, is pleased to announce two new additions to its management team.
Following Glenn Tice’s decision to leave Dovetail from the 6th October Dovetail will welcome Richard Ball, who will be taking over as IT Director from 2nd January 2007. Richard has a very strong academic record with an MSc in artificial intelligence and a PhD in theoretical computer science. His commercial experience is equally strong; he held a senior role within the consultancy division at Cable & Wireless and, latterly, was Group IT Director for Blueheath holdings, an internet-based supply chain business. Richard has helped build the company and technology organisation from scratch and in the last six years the company has grown to a turnover of £200m.
Richard says “Glenn has left a fantastic legacy and I’m excited and eager to build on this and provide the one stop shop fulfilment solution that the industry is looking for. There is a real buzz about Dovetail and I can’t wait to get started and join the team”.
In addition, Dovetail has also announced the appointment of Tony Evans as permanent Finance Director. Tony has an equally strong track record, having spent the last 15 years as Finance Director with TSL Education, leading up to its sale to venture capitalists in October 2005 of Dovetail’s clients.
Tony says “Since leaving TSL I have been looking for a new challenge and in Dovetail I was instantly impressed by the ambitions and drive of the new management team to make Dovetail the pre-eminent subscription, marketing and fulfilment company in the country”
Phil Wheeler says “Following the appointment of Ranj Lall earlier
this year and, more recently, Julian Thorne, Richard and Tony now complete
the senior management team at Dovetail. Without doubt we now have the
strongest management team in this sector, a team that is capable of driving
Dovetail forward to the next level. I feel that we now have in place a
team that matches, and can fulfil, all of our short, medium and long term
ambitions”.
Dovetail is the new brand for Galleon CI which was created in April 2005 as a 50:50 joint venture between the BBC Magazines (previous owner of Galleon Ltd) and Dennis Publishing (previous joint shareholder in Customer Interface Ltd).
