MANAGING DIRECTOR
Julian has extensive experience on the client and fulfilment side of publishing. Having held positions as Circulation Director of Dennis Publishing and Marketing Director of Saga Publishing Ltd – he's at the top of his game when it comes to subscriptions. He has also served as Chairman of the PPA Subscriptions Committee. This all-round knowledge means Julian has an excellent grasp of the demands of subscriptions marketing and customer service.

IT DIRECTOR
Our IT guru – Richard comes equipped with the highest qualifications, an MSc in Intelligent Systems and PhD in Artificial Intelligence. When it comes to systems and IT development – he’s way ahead of the game. We don’t always know what he’s talking about – but we certainly sit up and listen. His CV includes Head of IT at Blueheath (the UK’s first Internet based wholesaler) and Head of Consultancy at Hyperlink (one of the UK’s largest full service Internet agencies).
FINANCE DIRECTOR
The guardian of Dovetail’s commercial strategy, there’s nothing that gets past Tony without his scrutiny and approval. Since joining in October 2006 he has streamlined processes – and ensured all elements of finance are as user-friendly as possible. Tony has an excellent track record in publishing, having spent 15 years as Finance Director with TSL Education, a £60m turnover publisher.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
I joined Dovetail in August 2006 and my current portfolio consists of working with independent publishers. From my experience working with several bureaus, Dovetail adopts an innovative, forward-thinking approach to Subscriptions Marketing. We realise that the customer is key and as such, invest heavily in all departments to ensure the depth of knowledge is at a high standard. Dovetail’s pro-active approach differentiates and places us in a unique position within the market place.
IT
Dovetail is a great company to work for. There is a real sense of team spirit within the departments and an aim to keep our customers happy. Which ultimately keeps the publishers happy. During my time here, I’ve been involved with new technologies and Dovetail have supported me through training courses to improve my IT knowledge.
CUSTOMER SERVICES
Dovetail is a great environment to work in. The company has grown so much since I have been here. They’ve included us in the change too, which a lot of company’s wouldn’t do. Emphasis is placed on meeting targets and they reward us for achieving them. The company makes everyone welcome and they care about us and our opinions.
PRODUCTION
I am in my twelfth year at Dovetail, and I have seen it grow from strength to strength. Since having my daughter in 2004, I was lucky enough to be able to return to the same job working part-time. Dovetail has always been so flexible in allowing me to fit my working hours around my childcare. I work with a great bunch of people and can honestly say I enjoy my job and am very proud to be a long-term employee of Dovetail and a part of its future.
